On Tuesday, April 6th, Epicor has announced that going forward Epicor ERP, it’s flagship software solution for manufacturing industries, will be referred to as Epicor Kinetic and defined by the new Epicor Kinetic User Experience.

As the latest product update of Epicor ERP Cloud emerges in the form of version 11, this exciting change coincides with the many enhancements to functionality and overall user experience.

Epicor ERP Becomes Epicor Kinetic

Epicor ERP will “officially” become Epicor Kinetic with the general availability release on June 10, 2021. The initial product release will be called Epicor Kinetic 2021.1.

There are many dozens more personas remaining that are being developed and will require future testing. They will be added to the program as soon as they are at least 80% complete.

How To Participate In The Epicor ERP Kinetic User Experience Program

Following our invitation, users will need to confirm their interest to participate with their Customer Account Manager (CAM).

Following confirmation, users will then receive instructions from the Encompass Solutions, Inc. (ESI) development team on how to gain access to the development environment and proceed with testing.

This participation requests certain recording activities (webcam and audio sharing) and consent to inform the overall user experience when working with these newly developed tools, but webcam and audio recordings are not required for participation. Screen recording is required as a component of the program to track the user’s progress through the Kinetic workflows and inform further development and improve the overall user experience.

The Process will be split into four sections, they are as follows:

  • Review Prerequisites – For customer to review prior to beginning, screen recording software (required), webcam and audio sharing (optional), program guide and overview documents review, printer access (optional), test environment 10.2.700 or higher (higher versions have more forms available), access to the internet (Chrome browser), 1 hour per persona activity.
  • Demographics – A LinkID will be created to be linked to the persona, testing, and surveys.
  • Persona tests – Testing activities
  • Exit survey – Final thoughts and feedback

Now that she’s been with the company for the better part of a year, we asked Vee for her thoughts on her experience at Encompass. Here’s what she had to say.

First Impressions

From the moment I stepped into Encompass to interview for the Documentation Specialist position on January 28, 2020 until now, I’ve been exceptionally pleased.

I wasn’t sure what to expect when I walked in, especially since I was about to be interviewed by a Managing Partner. I knew that I had to shake off my nerves and be the only person I knew how to be… me.

Upon arrival, I initially spoke with a lady who ended up sitting with me on the couch to chat. She learned a little more about me and not only what I can do for the company.

Many questions can be answered simply by engaging and not going straight for the jugular. Being grilled with those cookie cutter questions in the past made me wonder if I was a Miss America contestant or a key suspect in a criminal case who was subpoenaed for court. After getting acquainted for a bit, it was time for my interview.

Another engaging conversation… I was still a little nervous, but at ease. It was finally refreshing to have dialogue that showcased my personality and talents to determine if both were suitable within the Encompass environment. I was introduced to my future co-workers. First impression? Friendly and genuine.

The managing partners have an open-door policy. Doesn’t that sound familiar? The difference here is that you’re heard. They listen to understand before responding, instead of listening solely to respond. If there are any concerns, work-related or personal, they’re addressed and not left floating in limbo.
