Epicor ERP Update Cadence

Since the release of Epicor ERP 10, Epicor has provided users with a predictable update cadence. This makes it easy to stay on track with the latest Epicor ERP releases.

At the release level, you have:

Update – Rolled out continually, generally twice a month, Epicor may introduce an update. This update is designed so that it will not impact UI customization or BPMs and custom reports. It is intended to only include bug fixes.

Release – Every 6 months, Epicor plans to deliver a release with limited changes. These changes may include schema changes, functional enhancements, and certain legislative changes as needed.

Version – Taking place every 18 months, users can expect a new version of the product. This includes more invasive versions that enhance the application and change overall design schema.

Product – Roughly every 5 years, Epicor will release an architecturally updated product. This leverages plans to deliver structural changes to the software itself depending on the state of technology available.  

The Importance Of A Consistent Upgrade Strategy

The purchase of Epicor Software Corporation from KKR, the former owner of four years, represents an important milestone for Epicor.
