It’s hard to decide which field Rich knows more about: materials management or information systems. Fortunately, we needn’t settle that question, since Rich’s mastery of both areas infuses his work for Encompass Solutions’ clients. Over the course of 30 years he has acquired a bewildering variety of skills: computer programming, materials management, shop floor production and more. His technical expertise includes MRP I and II, JIT, TQM, SPC, Cellular Manufacturing, Setup reduction, and ISO 9001; his certifications include APICS/CPIM. Rich relishes complex implementations; he particularly enjoyed working on large projects in the pharmaceutical and nutraceutical industries, which required certification and compliance with FDA and HACCAP regulations. Bucking the stereotype of the socially challenged tech wizard, Rich has superb interpersonal skills.
